It should arrive in 2-3 weeks. Got a sick deal for it when thinking about Mesa prices all over the Europe. This means that my Mesa 2:Fifty's for sale now.

YEAH!!!

The 2:90 is one of my favorite power amps. It's very full sounding.

Yes, I've heard many people say that. I bet it'll sound killer with my Triaxis and JMP-1.

I had a Triaxias and a JMP-1 back when they came out. I am sure that with the power amp switching you well find lots of good tones.

if it's a new unit, it can be that it's assembled in china, so please do yourself a favour and open it to chech all the contacts, especially the contactor coming from the power trannie and check all the ground connection to the chassis!!!! plus, check if the skrews that hold the trannies are ok and not moving around or missing...
I had such problems with a brand new unit buyied from thomann in germany...

Damn, that's some serious stuff. :( I didn't buy it from Thomann but we'll see how it is when it arrives.

Congrats Jaakko !

Thanks, Olaf! LP Custom deal seems to happen in very near future so when I get the LPC and 2:90, I'll post some John Sykes stuff with fat, creamy, singing, smooth, crunchy and juicy tone!

I do not think anything made by Boogie is made in China. All the amps I have had from them are very well made. I have been buying there stuff since 1982 - a Trident last year. All material things have problems and some things are not very well made. Can not say I have never had a problem with a Boogie but it was always normal wear and tear.

Cool. I'm looking forward to hearing it !

Very cool Jaakko!

I am not buying this china thing right now as I have never heard this and one quick call to Mesa should clear this up.

I've never heard that kind of a rumour before so I call it BS until I get a confirmation from Mesa.

This should kill paired with my JMP-1 and Triaxis. I was looking for 2:90 originally but I found an amazing deal on a 2:Fifty and bought it. Now I got so sickeningly sick deal on the 2:90 and couldn't pass it up. So I won't be buying two guitars this autumn, only the LP Custom.

I remember reading a thread some time ago on another forum about the 2:90 made in China

They must have been referring to specific internal parts maybe.....

Nope, I changed my mind and I'm getting a black one. I have negotiations on the chalk lines atm so if nothing surprising comes up, I have found myself a brand new LP Custom for a killer price.
