Brad Gillis Hamer Sig

Did Brad Gillis have a Hamer Sig back in the day? I was in a pawn shop on the weekend and saw a Hamer that said Brad Gillis on the headstock. It looked like this but solid black and I think dot inlays (could be mistaken). Said made in USA. Couldn’t really come up with much searching. Could be a fake I guess

That's correct, Devin! I haven't seen a Hamer USA Scepter come up for sale in awhile. The Hamer USA Jeff Watson is another rare bird that their owners will hardly sell. I know someone in the Hamer Fan Club that owns one of those guitars. Brad also had a couple of Hamer Chapparal necks made to fit on his Fender Strat guitar body. It was on the cover of Guitar World magazine with Jeff Watson & Brad Gillis displaying their Hamer USA guitars.

Any idea of going price?

No idea, but given the rarity and high quality of USA Hamer guitars I'd pay around 1000-1500 I'd guess, I'd have to see it and play it to know if I'd go higher.

That’s what I thought it looked like (but black) lol. Apparently my memory is suspect. I didn’t really look at it too close the first time

Brad had one on the cover of his Gilrock Ranch album around 1991. He was always a HSS guy though and his wouldn't have Kahlers, he's an original Floyd guy
