to build a solid state module? Could the voltages and everything be configured to work?

I'm just thinking a JC120 sounding clean would be awesome.

Sure...problem with the JC120 is...listen to it in mono with no chorus. It sounds terrible. But as to the question yes we have been discussing this possibility.

Since the Renegade reverb chip sounds good, maybe there can be a chorus emulation chip installed.

luv that idea! maybe a 1 space rack unit with the reverb chip and a chorus chip to be run inline or in a loop stereo ins/outs. But i know that leads into an effect unit and they are trying to stay clear of. The reverb chip would be great in the M4 :D

A lot of guys are having piezo loaded bridges put on their electric guitars .
Maybe a module that would allow you to get a great acoustic sound would be cool

A JC120 would definitely be a module I'd buy! Along with an Eggie dual channel XTC!!!! Oh please please PLEASE make me an XTC module!!!!

I dont know about an Eggie chorus and reverb processor. Theres enough good chorus and reverb out there and I think Egnater should probably not get into that market. Maybe they can build a chorus chip for the potential Roland module into the module itself somehow?

I think the piezo idea is pretty cool actually but arent there already pedals for that too?

I also doubt XTC will happen. Bruce has said in the past that there is a code amongst small builders that they dont take advantage of each others designs and that he had nothing to do with the Randall version.

Sorry to be a party pooper today!

Matthew = negative nelly today.

Hahahahah

He's having a case of the MOOOOONDAYS!!!!!

How about a solid state Rockman Module ?

I'm not a huge fan of that type of sound but that is what i love about the MOD50...the ability to have a diverse
cross-section of sounds in one amp. A Rockman Module would definitely cover a distinct sound thats not available
with the other Mods.

Lets keep things in perspective gang.
Every module that gets designed needs X number of hours of R/D.
If the module only sells a hand full, then Egnater loses money right off the bat just in designing it.
The XTC has already been exploited so that's a possibility.
Randall has stated the UltraXL is trademarked, so that's off limits.

What I'd like to see is an empty base module filled with sockets and a DVD that gives a brief synopsis of what each position does.
We fill the sockets with our own resistor and capacitor values to design our own modules.
Jeff may not have the time to design a Mark IV, but one of us might. We could trade schematic settings with other users. No trademark infringement either because a "club" of users designed it.
Users are sold the base module with an agreement that no one person will start a "company" that mass produces a certain popular design.

But that's just me. :D

take care,
Russ

Well, if they only make one custom Eggie dual channel XTC and I'm the one who gets it, then I'm completely ok with that. ;)
