Hello,
I am a new player. Recently acquired a used Bugera 333xl. It's been fine for about a year. I just went about 2 months without using it and went to play the another night. The power switch works and lights and the tubes light up, but when I go to switch the standby switch on it does not light up and I am not getting any sound. Does anyone know what the problem is? I may have accidentally left both switched both power and standby on overnight the last time I used it. Hope I didn't break it! Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance to the forum!

Does anyone have a idea on why my amp is not working?

Could be any number of things.
Leaving it on overnight wouldn't hurt it.
It is probably a blown resistor in the power section if I had to guess.
Hard to do over the internet.
Have you located where ALL the fuses are?
There are probably at least 3 or 4.
See if it has a high tension fuse.
If it powers on, then the mains fuse is OK.
Buy some extra fuses and possibly some power tubes.
If you put new fuses and tubes in and it dies again it would lead to a resistor (or some other bigger issue).

Thank you. I'll check that out.. Keep you posted!

Bugera has been known to be unreliable and generally not tip top quality. I am not being an ass or a downer, it's widely known.

Is it an infinnium model? Those seemed to have even more problems.
Check your fuses, as 311 said. There are likely 3 or 4, one is for sure in the chassis, so you have to be careful if you don't know what you are doing.

Also, I never judge a fuse to be good by eye- check it for contanuity with your meter. Takes 10 seconds longer, and will give you a definite answetm

You have 1 or 2 fuses by the power cord in back.
You also have 4 fuses inside on the main board. Check these with a meter.
You also have 4 diodes by those fuses. Look to see if there burnt.
Lastly check those cheap connections from your transformers to the board.
It’ll be one of those things I listed I would bet on it.

Thank you so much. I plan to inspect all the fuses today.. keep you posted.

Thank you for your help. Took the amp apart yesterday and found a few resistors and wires are fried.. Looks like I'm off to buy a Marshall!!

Sounds like a good move. Unfortunately bugera put out a bunch of low quality junk.

Sounds like a good move. Unfortunately bugera put out a bunch of low quality junk. At least it didn't go down on stage or start on fire, which is freakishly common.
