Starting with texas mode, which Einstein is all about as far as I'm concerned. Ch1m1 cleans split coil.

Next all texas; listen the Einstein nailing the SLO thing

Then texas going all heavy. First part humbucker, second split coil.

Ch2 M2 all metal with humbucker

Ch2 M2 all metal with split coil

Cleans, all split coil.

Then ch1 m3. first part split coil, later humbucker. I think I fucked up this one a little.

Anyways, enjoy!

all of those clips are great! I like the ones with the 6550s, sounds grand!

Sounds good man. I know you didnt like your einey much when you got it.. I agree the einey is all about TX mode. Im having trouble getting a nice tracked aggressive sound out of it.. I know its possible. Do you have any tips for any of your settings? I really like your ch1m3 lead sound and a few others... Id love some tips you've come across.

thanks in advance.

Ha, funny, I'm in a phase when I can't stand the recorded tones I get.

I don't know what to tell you, I treat the ch1 on this amp as Soldanos, it's all about finding the right amount of gain, a little move makes a big difference. I have that Gary Moore approach on lead tones, I need it dialed so I can leave the amp the way it is through a song, no channel switching or boosting of any type & control everything with volume on my guitar. I find that switching between modes on ch1 requires some EQing & messing with volume & gain, so I don't really understand why people do the switching mode & how they use it live.

Generally, presence deep stay at 12:00
I cut down some bass on ch1, I find it overwhelming. 10-11-ish
Mids stay around 12:00, give or take abit
Treble I boost some. On mode 3 I don't boost much, 1-2:00ish probably. on texas I go really high.
volume - depends, 11:ish mostly
gain - mod3, just experiment with your guitar, for leads find the spot when it breaks up, but doesn't become distortion, if your roll down the volume on your guitar just tiny bit you should feel you need more gain; it probably should be around 10-11:00. mod2 - here I find it usable everywhere, depending on what you need.

Hope it helps.

Disclaimer: I suck at recording amps!  You might wanna consider that before taking my advice.

Thank You!

I'm thinking of putting together a little recording rig & mic my amps in the rehearsal space. At least then I won't be able to blame the space & isoboxes for my suckage!

Wow, people do really have very different preferences. I personally don't like the clips with 6550s at all.

Good shit!!What speakers are you using?I love el34's whats your fav for Einy.Last sorry I'm an old dog trying to learn some new tricks. What master volume levels are you at?Thankx Steve

EVM12L or EVM12LBL or both at the same time.

I've got JJ e34ls, haven't tried other 34s with the Einstein.

Master for non metal content was a little passed 10:00 I believe, with volumes around 10-11:00.That said my favorite spot is 12:00 on both, for metal I prefer 2-3:00 master.
