Buying a used Herbert..?

So anyways.. ive managed to find a used Herbert at a local store for 3200 after tax. Not bad. As im playing i notice 2 things. 1st the light doesnt work for channel 2. 2nd as im shredding through it at a reasonably loud volume i notice the volume keeps changing(going from loud, to a noticeably lower volume every so often). After bringing this to the attention of the sales clerk we noticed that in the back of the amp the light was on for 2 tubes i think for channel..3 and the fuse was totally blown.
The last thing i want is an amp that blows tubes/fuses because the previous user messed it up.
Just wondering your thoughts.

Hey, and Zao, you must be the guy in Colorado that bought the amp. Well they said yesterday that you returned it. Did you actually play through it, and or find a problem, or did you just read my post and say forget about it? They said you saw a post and decided to not get it. Im hoping its not an issue bc im reconsidering buying it now. Hopefully i can get someone to look at it.
 
I never bought it, I already have one.
But I played it and noticed that it was acting wierd, I was mostly just checking out the cab they had with it, the salesman said it was sold to some guy that was gonna put it in his studio. I told the sales guy to retube and bias that amp before of ever left the store but I don't think he really cared.
