Just got a TS808 kit that i am going to start ASAP. Will upload pics for those who are interested once i am done.

Anyone here done these, i need some advice on what type of paint to use to finish the enclosure.

Any ideas? Would car/auto spray paint work. I was thinking primer-colour-clear gloss.

Cheers

Their OD2 pedal is one of (if not) the best overdrive pedals I have ever heard. Coolest part is I made it. Love it!

Are you going to post it in this thread ? .... I am interested in all of the BYOC's...

Haha. I was actually going to cover it with fur. Actually, cat hair. I still might with my other one. Put some sort of base coat and then start adding the cat hair while it's still sticky. Gonna do a fade. Heavy hair on top and less towards the bottom. That's what the pedal does anyways. Then clear coat. I tolexed the first one to match my amp.

How did you finish yours. The graphic and white coat i mean.

I started with a white powder coated box which I wet sanded smooth. The graphics were designed on computer and printed onto clear clear adhesive film with my desk-jet printer, clear coated to protect the image, then water transferred onto the box. Once it was set and completely dry, I clear coated again several times with wet sanding after, then polished it out.

Check out the BYOC forums, there are many threads there on how to apply graphics.

Click the Tapping into Voodoo link in my sig.

I have built a Leeds Fuzz, Tribooster, and blues overdrive. I bought the Tremelo that someone else had built. I always just painted them gloss black with spray paint and used a label maker. I really like BYOC stuff, just not much on finishing the pedals, its the soldering that I enjoy.

The 5 knob compressor with a few tweaks, is in the same league with the most boutique ones for a fraction of cost. Great pedal.

I am debating between the 2 knob and the 5knob compressor, how many tweaks did you have to make?

I had to tweak my Blues Overdrive, it wasn't a big deal.

duracoat would work great for your enclosure. variety of finishes available.
