Got tracking today on my 1st run CCV. I am incredibly stoked. In fact, I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a piece of gear. In case you're following along at home, I was #10 on the first run list. Brad, Rob, Tortured Genius, etc., I am ready to throw a deposit on the next Cameron release, so let me know.

Awesome! You've owned a lot of bad ass Cameron mods so I'm excited to hear what you think!

FEDEX update....Arrived at the local hub....Out for delivery tomorrow....My current emotional state reminds me of a Heinz Ketchup TV commercial from the late 70's/early 80's with assist from Carly Simon....I will be waiting with my dog for the white panel truck to arrive at the final destination of the most kickass high gain head in the Universe.....
Quite possibly in a parallel universe, there is a a similar scenario being played out...Some humanoid alien being waiting for a high gain amplifier to reproduce his favorite tones....BUT IT AIN"T GONNA BE A CAMERON CCV MU' FUCKERS!!! Cause this is the only planet in Carl Sagan's Cosmos that you can get this flame thrower.....

CCV has arrived. Got a little work to do before I crack the box open.

Orange Crush heading over the pond......If it is anywhere near as sweet as the Prototype, I am going to be one happy mofo.

Got another Cameron prototype coming as well. I am going to be the Proto King

So..I've had a little time to play it...I am really digging it but like Steve and Matt, I will probably be changing the pre tubes out...I had one that was microphonic right out of the box....Are these ARS 12AX7's 8th or 9th gen Chinese?

Other than that the amp smokes...I have had a few Cameron modded Marshalls and this one definitely is in the same family with that tone....I knew Channel 2 was going to be great. What I did not figure was how versatile Channel 1 is....Just a great overall amp...If I had one comment at all and this is not a knock on the amp at all, it is that it's got way too many fucking switches! LOL....As I have gotten older, I have gotten a lot more simple minded about music gear...I used to love to dive into deep editing on my Lex PCM 70 or Eventide H3000's, but these days, I'll dial in a tone and it never changes...I guess I am just old...So that is what will probably happen with this...I'll find a good voice on Ch1/2 and leave it alone....
When/if they come up with a bare bones CCV flavored low watt amp with just 5-6 knobs on the front and it is priced in the range of more folks, they will probably sell the hell out of them....

You guys who have a CCV already, I want to beat a dead horse...Speakers you like?

It sounds pretty good with my stock EVH 5153 cab's, but I think is could be better....I know Matt likes his Mills with Scums....I am thinking about loading my empty Scum '69 with some Classic 80's or G12H30's....

Now I think I might by a JCA20 with the Friedman bells and whistles....

^You still haven't loaded that scumback cab? I think I sold you that thing about 2 months ago. lol

H30s or some scumbacks M75/H75s would be cool in that cab.

glad your liking that CCV.

Maybe a stupid question....Is there a serial number on these amps? I have not taken the chassis out of the headshell yet for a gut check, so it may be in there....I do not see any markings on the back or top to give me an indication that they are recorded in some order....Just wondering....

Every day brings new light to the versatility of Ch1 and the balls out gain and voicing of Ch 2....This is really a spectacular amp...I am pretty happy with the settings I have now, so I am probably going to thro some electrical tape on all those damn switches...LOL...
