Just wondering how the master volume is on the CCV. I'm interested in the amp but being able to use the amp at home as well as gigs is important to me. How does the master volume on the CCV compare to say the Friedman master volume which is supposed to be one of the best?

depends on which clipping mode your set to on your master volume(s)...

in the mid position there are no clipping zeners so it is extremely loud
in the left clipping position ( mid high gain) the volume drops a good bit but is still very powerful
in the right clipping position (full high gain) it gets more compressed and the volume drops a lot and this will be the most useable for home volume, plus you can put the amp in low power mode / and use the gain cut switch to tighten it up, AND i believe i read the new ccv will have a pentode / triode switch will also help control home volume.

In a nutshell and in english , in full clipping mode the master volume is great for home playing or full out stage volume.... you'll be happy

I was very happy with mine at low volumes. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the info guys. This just makes my decision harder. I was planning on pulling the trigger on a Friedman Marsha but now that Brad has gotten the Cameron deal going I'm going back and forth between the two. I'm gravitating toward the more aggressive nature of the Cameron but having a hard time deciding. Anyone here played both and can compare? I play a lot of 80's hard rock/metal (Dokken, Ratt, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, etc.) so that's the type of sounds I'd be trying to dial in.

Either way, you can't go wrong.

I also have been thinking of getting a marsha but now am waiting to hear the first run of ccv first. I might stick with the marsha but order it with the extra footswitchable master and gain control for extra versatility.
