I've had my Cameron CCV for a few weeks now but haven't really experimented with different settings. I don't get lots of opportunities to crank it up with a 9-month old baby and I've pretty much been happy with the tone I'm getting on Channel 2 with everything dialed in around 2:00 (expect for Master) and all switches to the left.

I thought it would be interesting to hear from other CCV owners about your go to settings. Also, what cab/speakers are you using? I have it paired with the matching 4x12 cabinet with the Celestion G12H 70th Anniversary.

Run a jumper in the loop and use it as another master volume. Crank the master on the front of the amp and use the loop's level for your master. Amp will sound a little bit better at lower volumes. But for band-level playing, I wouldn't do this.

Cool... thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try over the weekend.

congrats on your new amp.... how clean is channel I ?

Thanks! Most of my time has been spent on Channel 2, but using the toggles above the Master you can get a beautiful, pristine clean with loads of headroom on Channel 1 or dirty it up a little to get into AC/DC territory.

I would love to try out one of these... I think its the only amp left that I have not tried!

It's funny because the one amp I want to try that I haven't yet is a Wizard.

Have you tried pushing the midrange up a bit to fill in the scooped sound of the g12h30's? might be an idea. Ive heard the amp from clips with both the speaker you have and vintage 30's and they both sounded great.

I have tried many different speakers with my original (Mark) CCV and IMO the G12H30 seem to be the best with it. I also like the G12H30 and classic lead 80's in an X pattern.

Did u try the setting I e mailed you?

I did. The wife and kids were out today so I had a chance to open it up a little. Some good stuff in there. I'm really liking the tight mid-gain setting as well as the VH ones. Thanks again!

I'm still adjusting to the G12H30's as I'm finding them a little too bright and almost harsh at times. Maybe I'm just so used to V30's which is what I have in my Diezel cab that I've had forever.

My settings are somewhat similar to your with a little twist.
I have the following on CH2:

Bass 1 o'clock
Mid noon
Treble 1 o'clock
Gain 1 & 2 at 1 o'clock
bright 1 switch LEFT
bright 2 switch RIGHT
Gain switches RIGHT
Presence and Punch about 1:30 with both switches LEFT

I"m running through a Splawn 2x12 with a Scumback M75 and BM75.

I also goose it with a little clean boost in front for extra squishiness.

Super fun to play this way. I pull back the punch at higher volumes of course. This is just to get a little thump at low volumes.
