So I'm over at Mark's yesterday, and he says "dude, I have something I want you to check out. Take this thing home and play with it, let me know what you think. It's a single channel 6l6 thing I came up with." I always dig checking out Mark's experiments, so I was pretty stoked to try this thing :D

Here's my understanding of the design/layout; single channel 6L6 with 5 different pre-amp gain voicings and 5 different power amp/compression settings. Has a resonance knob, a mid-boost, and a bunch of other knobs with funny names (amplitude, sweep, etc.) :D

Fast forward to this morning; I head out to my jam room to fire this bad boy up. Threw the pre-amp gain knob to the middle, same with the power amp/compression setting. Twisted a couple of knobs and hit the power......two words.....Holy Shit!!!!!!!! This thing SMOKES. I played for two hours and never changed the settings (sorry Mark)

This thing is about perfect for me. Very possibly my favorite Cameron so far. Pic's etc. to come, along with a more detailed report.....when my ears stop ringing and I have more time to experiment :D

Cool shit Josh,

Did you ever check out the Twin that he did ? He's doing that mod to my plexi , can't wait to get it back....

he told me about that custom 75 a long time ago, it sounded really cool.... CLIPS BROTHA!!!! :D

Yeah Nick, I've played the Evil Twin :D Your Plexi should sound amazing with that thing. Cyndicate and I were laughing our asses off when we played it....you'd never think something that looked like it does would sound like that

Very cool. Mark and I spoke about the Custom 75 a few months ago. I was really interested back then, now I am more than ever. Mark also said that it should take pedals really well and the right pedal could turn it into a blow torch (but its not needed ;) )

Dude....it IS a blowtorch...no pedal required. :D

I think you'd LOVE this thing

Thought you guys might be interested
so when is the amp fest :D

Is this a combo or a head? Your messin with me, video wasn't posted before, sounds really huge.

We need more! :gethim: :D

Oh, I'll do more :D

I was just laughing at how HUGE the thing sounds....the volume was so low, you can clearly hear the strings, but that thing filled the room.

The higher gain settings are just ridiculous....tight and thumping

Sounds killer! Seems like it leans toward to Marshall-esque side of things with that setting at least.

I'll bring beer if you let me come play it?

Yeah man, it's definitely capable of that Marshall vibe, which I personally love.

Ummm, and on a side note, we may be hooking up a little amp fest next weekend...you have no idea what you may have comitted to offering to supply beer...

Amp fest...I'm there! Let's just say I can bring a whole heck of a lot of beer. My best friend is a home brewer and he is fantastic! However, these beers aren't for the faint of heart, they're very heavy % wise and tons of flavor. He just brewed a new pumpkin chai ale(which will be ready next week). I got IPA's, stout's, Belgian's, porters's, black IPA's, white christmas ale's, and hop heavy beers. I can definitely hook it up. I got the big leagues of beers.

that sounds great! seems like a good warm vibe. what kind of speakers are you running?

R&D Department has been active at Cameron HQ...

@Josh/Nick - sounds more like the CCM circuit or no? It is hard to tell on the recording.

Recording....  I wish you could hear what this amp REALLY sounds like :D

As far as the CCM thing goes, NIck would know better than I would, I've never played or seen one.

Mark said that he wanted to kind of start with a CCV and see how he could tweak it; all I know is that it sounds GREAT :D

what kind of guitar/pickup (sorry for the chain questions)? god, that second vid is bank money...what's the lower gain stuff like?

No problem :D

I re-did the second vid with my PRS sc245. Stock, and a great guitar. First one is a Suhr Modern.

the videos sound exactly like 90% of his modded marshalls videos
which is actually pretty good, but nothing new for my ears
I was expecting something more JTM-like with more gain
