Just wondering if i pick up an older Herbert if it is possible to get the Bias modded to be on the back, as well as those Tube fault LED's?

or not possible?

I think that it would require sending your amp to Peter... but I don't think it's impossible. :)

i would ask Peter...would imagine he could. But its not that hard to take the amp out of the headcase & do the biasing. Yes, the biasing option is more convenient....but not utterly nessesary.

Are you tight on cash? Are you dizzy when you rise in the early morning from Diezel Herbert dreams? Are you a Mormon? Do you not wear socks? Are you a free baller?
(I think not since you're contemplating becoming a new owner of the King of all amps.)

Therefore, don't squirm around and get yourself a brand spanking new Herbie! :)

Why buy new when you can buy used and save some money?

The peace of mind of a 10 year warranty doesn't hurt. If I were buying used I would actually prefer the amp to not have external bias.

To answer your question, anything can be done. The real concern on your end is simply is it worth the time and money to do so.

In this case, it seems like it would be easier, an probably not much more cost, to just sell the one you have and buy a brand new one. Especially if you feel like your gonna be holding on to the amp for a long time.
