Can I use a power amplifier with Mesa/Boogie Mark V 25 head?

I have a Seymour Duncan PowerStage 700 that I've used with pedals. That worked out pretty well and was super easy to set up, going direct (no cabinets) for live gigs. Now, I'm looking to put another live rig together but want a real amp to play through. The amp I'm interested in is the Mesa/Boogie Mark V 25. The concern is that 25 watt isn't enough power for medium to large size shows. I'm wondering if it's possible to use the PowerStage in conjunction with the Mark V to give it the power I need for bigger gigs. I think using the Mark V for rehearsals should be fine but I'm not sure that it would be enough for a bigger venue. I play in a metal band so things can get pretty loud. Ideally, I would like to be able to use the PowerStage along with the Mark V, a pedal board, and still go direct.

I'm not very good with the technical side of things so any help would be much appreciated. Whether I purchase the Mark V or not depends greatly on whether this can be done (hopefully easily). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You have to switch speaker off and go from MKV send to Powerstage.

Isn’t there a line out on the Mk 25? If there is, I’d use that while keeping the 25 running as normal. Run an instrument cable from the line out to your Powerstage, then out from it to another speaker cab. Unless you don’t have another cab.

not enough space :)

I agree with doubt about bigger stages. I played few show with one and there wasn't enough headroom for solo boost. After 10-11 o'clock on volume it adds only a compression.

Then, I'd grab a line out box (Bray for 50$, Suhr for 4x that) and use that into the Powerstage, out to another speaker cab.

I can't count the number of shows I've played with a 30 watt Peavey Bravo. fx send to a rack multi fx, mono back into amp return. the other output went to another rack multi fx and stereo out into a 60/60 power amp into 4x12 cabs. the combo was more of a monitor at this point. sounded great and never lacking volume.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I think going direct to the board is the best option, given that the amp has the CabClone DI. No need for the PowerStage, it seems.
