I was reading on the 100W Einstein you can mix up the types of power tubes-

I am not clear on what types if any can be used on the 50W Einstein???

If re-biased can I use different types of power tubes- I hope I am being clear

example If the 50W Einstein uses 2- EL34's can change the power tubes to say 2- 6L6 if re-biased?

That would be VERY cool if I can-

Listen to Angry Gold Fish and especially what Peter says.
Play the amp as is and enjoy what you ordered, especially if it is brand new.
When it is time to replace the power tubes then try what you like.
I have an Einstein combo 50 for 4 years now and just replaced the power tubes in it last year for the first time.

Hi,
to answer your question:
You can use El 34, E34L, 6L6 or 6550s or Kt77 etc. pairwise, and have to rebias them. But you cannot mix them in the 50 Watt Einstein (what you could do with the 100). I tried different kind of tubes in my Einstein, but came back to the stock EL 34 all the time.
