... or at least something in that same style. I've heard great Herbert clips, but nothing that really fits what I'm going for, although everybody swears it's the metal amplifier. I would also be interested in clips of it with Eminence Legends, Bare Knuckle ceramic Warpigs, and 7-string guitars. I shrugged away Diezel GAS before, but something someone mentioned in another thread had me spending more time on reviews and clip research over the past couple of days. If I could find a well-recorded clip of somebody playing technical/slam death metal or grind with a Herbert, it may trigger some intense GAS.

I know how you feel, man. No one ever really plays the music that I play personally when demoing gear, and that makes the amp seem like it's not really for you - which could be a falsity. I did that with the Einstein. At the time there were very few clips around, but the ones that were only really demonstrated the amp in ways I couldn't fully appreciate. But the Framus Dragon had one or two that sparked me and I bought it over the Einstein - with regret.

I haven't tried playing the Herbert for any form of Death Metal, but I did try it with a seven-string and it didn't feel quite as happy as it did with a six. It still sounded amazing, but required tweaking to settle. I've found that with all the Diezel amps. Something like an ENGL SE or a Framus Cobra would have more of that instant 'seven / eight string appreciation'.

Dude, you should go to my bands myspace here: www.myspace.com/reanima - and listen to the first song "a needle in your arm".

7 string guitars, Diezel Herbert, Eminence Legends (Krank Revolution 412), somewhere between tech/brutal death metal. :)

That's a bit different than I expected, but all the percussive and brutalness of the amp is there. Good shit man!

thanks guys!!

i'm in the studio in about 3 weeks again, i can then provide more tracks - also guitar only tracks if that helps!
