Can the Renegade head be controlled by G-Labs GSC-3?

Sorry for what which sounds like a stupid question, but just wanted to make sure as it's a deal breaker for me!

I would want to control the reverb on/off and switch channels.

I'm pretty sure you can. I was wondering about a similar problem, and there is an individual footswitch output for channel switching and reverb/FX loop switching. I hope that helps.

There are two TRS jacks on the rear of the Renegade. One for Channel and Vol 1/2 switching and one for Loop and Reverb switching. If your controller has relays to switch outboard gear, all you need is to adapt the cable to switch either the ring or sleeve of whatever jack you plug into. Thats all the stock footcontroller is doing, except for some of the "smart" functions, such as locking Verb, Loop, and Boost functions to one channel or the other.
