i have a preamp/effects rack unit (thats midi capable) that i use. it can bypass the preamps in it and run it as the wet part in a wet dry setup.

i'd like to know if i can run midi out from the preamp to control the amp via the footswitch in.

i dont have a midi board for the rack unit yet, but soon will be settling on which one to get, and if possible, i'd like to integrate my amp into the switching.

anyone?

I don't know, but my bet is there is a way to do it. The Tourmaster uses a midi cable for the footswitch.

yep, but it's 5 pin. im wondering if it needs a 7 pin, or do i need some kind of conversion box or something fancy.

im only hesistant to try sending a signal to it, obviously cause i dont want to mess anything up in the amp.

i could really care less about the run of the mill preamp that just happens to go for about 50 bux on ebay, not color my tone at all and sound great in the process, cause they can be had so easily and cheaply, but never get any attention.

i have big hopes to be able to integrate the WDW system...and midi direct to the amp would help immensely.

I think RJM has a cable for the tourmaster to use with their amp gizmo.
