Hello everyone, first post. I want to get the GnR mod done to my sl2 but I cant ship it because I need it for gigs. I'm just wondering if I bought a new one already modded, when I recieved it could I ship my old sl2 out to be modded to a sl.

Welcome.....

It's my understanding that GnR modded sl2 will do a good plexi anyway on Ch a so I would just trade someone for an SL or sell it. Though I don't see a reason why it couldn't be modded to SL.

My guess is that the answer is "no". In fact, I recall that I've probably asked him this on more than one occasion.

After talking to Jeff, it seems that the circuit of the SL *is* quite different compared to the SL. it's not just a matter of swapping one part to lower the gain.

I guess the DLX and TWN channels are a lot more similiar in design, and thus can be modded back and forth quite easily.
