being thrust into an a cappella has be nerve racking as well, if you weren't planning on it.I'm an expert in many things, including vocal timber and tonality and I have to say that she was definitely "off" in that performance. That said, I believe that she directly was not at fault for wavering in and out of key.
They had to move the ceremony indoors on account of the unusually frigid temperatures, and the acoustics and humidity indoors that day definitely impacted her vocal cords. This is an increasingly common phenomena associated with unpredictable weather patterns in Washington DC area and surrounding suburbs.
Bottom Line? Climate Change strikes again.
