I thought this day would never come...

Ordered November 1, 2007 and received today so a little over 17 months wait. Chris and Mark did waive the $124 shipping charge for the delay.

Mine has a pentode / triode switch in the back and I understand is the only one made with this mod - very cool!

No power cord or manual, but I did find a dime in the bottom of the box so maybe I can phone a friend...?

There's all kinds of switches - this thing looks more complicated then an XTC.

Won't get to check it out until tonight unfortunately - today is going to be a very long day.... :aww:

 Congrats! I told ya! Hey, I have never gotten a high end amp that came with the power chord. My Elmwood modena 60 did not come with a power chord.  I guess it's an unspoken kinda thing. IT IS THE WAY IT IS!

 Okay! Honeymoon is over. How does the CCV hold up in comparision to other amps you have or errr have owned? What kinda feel does it have to it? Semi stiff, a touch forgiving, etc.....Is it possible the general feel of the amp can change depending on what switch is set one way or another? where does it sit in the mix so to speak ? Does it have any one vibe that stands out with it? The usual Cameron vibe to me with the modded marshalls I have owned or played is PISSED OFF.  but I have not had or played a High gain Jose. Maybe someday . :dunno: Anyway, I guessed after you're long wait I should give it a bit of time before THE REVIEW was asked for. Hope you are Really happy with the CCV overall and definately SPILL IT, TELL US HOW COOL THE CCV-100 is....................

Whoops, I forgot I had that here. I guess I better get around to opening that box up one of these days....

No, honestly I've just been waiting until I felt sure I had discovered all the tones hidden in this beast, but that hasn't happened yet... There's so many ways to get the sound you're looking for by making one setting bright and another dark or vice versa, you could spend days tweaking this amp. I don't think I've spent more then 5 minutes on the clean chanel yet, there's just so much going on in the gain channel.

I will say though that the feel is just amazing. Mark's stuff is definitely compressed feeling, but it stays incredibly dynamic which is very rare in my experience. Incredibly easy to play but notes can still bloom and morph into different shapes - very cool.

More to come as I carve out more time to spend with it (which will be a while :aww: )

 I think Randy had to go outta town for a while. He will get them at some point though. Takes time to figure out all the switches for voicing and what-not.
