Dude - buy yourself a Weber Bias Rite (or similar tool) and be done with the tech for biasing. It pays for itself quickly and allows you to experiment with power tubes as much as you want. It really is THAT easy to use. It's a great investment.

I actually do plan to do this, but I don't plan on learning on a $3,500 CCV. I know it's easy and the tech is going to do that right in front of me for free so there's no real harm.
Please set up a video camera so we can see the Tech's face and hear his response when you tell him you want the SED's biased at 45mA with 565V plate. This will blow his mind......

HAHA. I've warned him that the CCV runs very high plate voltages and that the bias settings might seem odd to him. I'll probably give Mark a shout too, maybe he won't mind talking to my guy if need be...
