Anyone have experience with both of these? I currently have a JCM 800 that I built (from Ceriatone Kit) and was thinking of building one of these?

I play all kinds of music. I'm looking for the clean channel to be semi-dirty/crunchy with cleanup via volume knob. Gain channel(s) I'm hoping for something that is tight and articulate and good for higher gain.

Why not just ask Nik since your reference is already a Ceriatone ?

Nik is very helpful but I'd like someone not with the company to share their experiences with the amps, if possible.

I had the leviathan. Nice amp. It's almost like having 3 amps in one. Lots of tonal options. I know it was inspired by the butterslax but to me it almost sounds like a boosted HBE.

The mid switch is really useful as is the clipper defeat. The only thing I didn't like about it and this is a matter of preference is that it's very polished. This is the reasons I don't like Friedman amps as much . I am hoping to get a new monomyth which is the reason I sold my leviathan. I may end up getting another one.

I had the molecular too. That's a damn fine amp. You could get a plexi channel 1 and molecular channel 2 in a king Kong if you would like.

The molecular is like a well balanced jcm800 with a bunch of bells and whistles.

If you need lots of gain go with the leviathan.
If you are doing hard Rock to 80's speed metal the molecular. Although the leviathan can do that as well.

For the King Kong, you mean that is how the channels are stock or I could request Nik tweak the channels to make it Channel 1 Plexi and Channel 2 Molecular?
