I was sent a a drum track and was challenged to write a song to it using only 1 guitar, 1 effect, and 1 amp in 3 days. This was tuff as I have been working 10-12 hour days. I think it has a Les Dudek meets 38 Special kinda sound. If you dont like those guys you might not want to bother listening.

All guitar parts are done on a Rebel 30 some in silent mode some mic'd with an MXL ribbon mic. Effect used, a Boss Super Chorus. No post production eq or reverb added. So, what you hear in this recording is pretty much straight up Rebel 30.

Excuse the mix, I didn't have a lot of time to meet the deadline of this challenge, this is a cans only mix.

I think you managed pretty well  It sounds very "alive";one wouldn't guess the conditions..

Liked the guitars a lot! Maybe could use a little treble on them to add a little snap. Good work!

Thanks for the listens and nice comments.

Len, that is the Rebel 30, #2 channel sound. It is dark. I like my Tourmaster better but for this project I needed to be able to record silently in the late evenings to keep the wifey-poo off my back.

That brighter tone of the Tourmaster is exactly why I got it. I had a Mesa for years that I liked but it was dark sounding and I got tired of it. Had the Rebel 30 been available when I bought I might have gotten it- That silent record feature is nice!
