Grabbed an Ibanez RGIB6 awhile back....28" scale, hard tail Gibraltar II bridge, AANJ neck joint, forearm contour.....really cool comfortable guitar to play. Realized I was pretty much only using it for big heavy rhythms and out of the 12 guitars I have, 10 of them are black. Changes had to be made....started out like this:

Had a Nazgul/Sentient set in it....dug em, had a good grind to them, but they had a mid range hump that was kinda djenty sounding so they got ripped out and sold. Bought some stuff; locking tuners, pickguard material, BKP Warpig, and tore everything down:

Some stuff didn't fit:

But eventually it all came together:

Since this is basically just a rhythm guitar, I didn't really need a neck pickup or tone control.....Warpig is basically what I've come to expect from BKP...tight and aggressive, but clear and defined like a motherfucker. Dig it and I think it came out pretty cool. Set it up on open B and it's just brutal.

Nice! How do you like the baritone spacing? I'm currently putting one together and I'm a little unsure about that... I love the pickguard though! Looks great.

Thanks Jake, long time no see! Spacing isn't bad; I have a 30.3" 8 string that's much worse so this thing is a picnic.

Everything cool?

Definitely liked it better before the changes but hey, it does look cool now. And, I love the idea of custom guitars.
People always look at my fenders with humbuckers and different control setups and ask me what models they are.
And the most important thing is it sounds killer.
Congrats.

I hear you man...I thought it looked good too, but I'm surrounded by a sea of black guitars, plus this one was always gonna get at least a pickup swap. They ship with EMGs and I wasn't a fan and the SDs weren't really my cup either. Had that Warpig sitting on my desk for awhile since I got a deal on it; the guard was just to make it stand out from all my other guitars lol.

Thanks guys.
