I've seen a few of these for sale for cheap and I was just wondering
1) is it worth it?
2) why are they so cheap?
 
the 4's are cheap as well.. great guitars for the money. you won't find anything at gc nearly as good for the same price. I have a 4 for sale if you're interested. I'm down the road in North FL
 
They're cheap because they aren't US made. However the Japanese did them right and built real nice players. Great guitars. I had a Japanese Journeyman for a while that I'm regretting selling.
 
I think the Charvel Model series are great guitars. They make for excellent work horses.
 
the Charvel Model serise with the guitar shaped logo are (or used to be) the best bang for the buck out there. I bought several all under $200 with the cheapest being $130. They make a great base for adding Original Floyd Rose and better pickups and ending up with a killer guitar for a great price. I still have couple left and swapped the necks for strat headstocks instead of the pointys
