Looks killer! How does it sound now? Is it for the better or the worse?

Win... you have all of it!

thanks ! I wont lie, I always liked the maple neck on these, but having the other one there with the ebony board got me to thinking. I had to swap them and see what it looked like. I am happy with the results for sure.

honestly, I cant say that I hear all that much of a difference. There may be a little more attack or presence, but it is fractional at best, and to be honest I may be making it all up in my mind. I switched out the original fluence classic pickups when I got it for an EMG 81/60 combo since I play more modern styles of music, and they don't really react much to different tone woods in my experience, so that could be playing a part in why the tone doesn't seem to be all that different

Some Louisiana swamp loving redneck has had his hands all over that Charvel neck with ebony board though...ewww LOL

Excellent. Are you staying with the ebony or going back to the original maple?

I really dig the looks of the ebony board on this guitar so I am more than likely going to keep it this way. I may switch out the black hardware for some chrome, but I go back and fourth on that. the Floyd and lock nut that are on it have already been upgraded to German parts, so I really don't have any need aside from aesthetics. I do love the black and yellow theme that's going on now though so its a tough call.

Oh man for what it's worth, I say leave it as is. Black hardware with ebony board. That's the winning combo right there.

whoa! looks great like that! I'm a big fan of ebony fretboards myself.

Looks killer. Can imagine what a matching headstock would look like.

Gorgeous, I love an ebony board..bought another Charvel just so I could have a neck like that.

I say keep it that way! \m/
