A. Middle pickups in general, or

B. HSS Strats. For me, it's gotta be HxH, HxS, SSS, SxS, or HSH. For some reason, HSS just bugs the hell outta me. It reminds me of a Fender Squier Fat Strat.

I LOVE the middle pickup on a HSH or HSS setup. I just love single coils in general. One of my favorite guitars is this one:



I like having a bucker in the bridge for rhythms and such, but there's not much better than a single coil in the neck position for me. The exception to this rule for me is the Suhr SSV in the neck position. It's my favorite by far neck humbucker. It feels like a P90 or hotter single coil. Has the "texas blues" tone to it through and through. So open, buttery, etc.

But what's cool about that guitar in particular, is it has a 81TW in the bridge..so it can be split with a push/pull pot. Also it has the EMG SPC knob...which beefs up the tone through the midrange, and gives it tons of versatility!!

just got my secret pickups from Wade for my Picasso Zion I got back. Dude calls me and says hey I found your Zion you played back in 91, you want it. I said yes and $400 later I got it back. Pics when the PU"s are installed.

I see the corner of a g system in the pic. I'm seriously considering one. How do you run it? Front end? Loop? Do you like it?

I run it inbetween the M4 and RT,4 cable thing,I really like it.I put some MCPs in the Suhr,PAF style they sound good at low,low volume in there but I just put it together at 4am ths morning so I'll have to crank it as soon as I get done fixin the friggin boat
