Saw this Chibson on marketplace this am for $200. I have always been against the idea of supporting these. This one looks so real! Insane.

I dunno, that headstock screams fake to me. And it has a crooked tuner. I get so sick of seeing even big money guitars that looked like Stevie Wonder installed the tuners. There was a Ribbecke archtop on Reverb a while back listed for a million bucks and all the JGF guys got annoyed that I bashed a million dollar guitar for having cockeyed tuners. Inexcusable at any price point. I'm not impressed with a luthier that can't put tuners on straight cause even my dumbass can manage to do it right.

Just saw this Jay Turser for $40. I would rather buy something like that and put in quality pickups and tuners etc than a Chibson!

I’d get the Chibson so I could go to town with stickers, possible mods, without worrying about doing it to a real one.

I’ve told the story of my buddy years ago that was on the crew of a relatively big touring band that had a different sweet Gibson every few songs like they were Bon Jovi, when I questioned how they were able to pull that off he told me they were chibsons and that a bunch of other bands did it too, fake it till you make it!!

Hell my Epiphone 59 les Paul is made in China and is a killer playing guitar. I changed out the bridge pickup. She weighs almost 10 lbs. and feels really nice in the hands.I did purchase a ESP explorer copy from ebay for $250 that Im going to upgrade. Lot of people dont have a lot of extra cash these days to fork out $2 to 3K for a extra guitar. As long as people don't get ripped off.

About 10 years ago I bought two of these because they were cheap. End up being cheap more ways than one. I thinl it weighed 4 lbs lol which is scary for a Les Paul

There's a bunch of Chibson sellers on eBay that ship from US warehouses and offer returns. Just get ready to be disappointed when it shows up and you can't adjust the truss rod. Or when the slots in the nut and saddles are cut so deep that it rings like a 12 string banjo.

Spot on , the ESP copy the nut has to go. But where can you get a mahogany body and neck for $250? painted too

Not even sure Gibson is producing 355's at the moment but a used one is 5k or more and the Epi comes with Gibson custombuckers factory for $1299. I don't need a Gibson to beat the shit out of at 150-$200 per man gigs, lol.
