I would like to try some Chinese 12AX7's but don't know which to order?

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Chinese 12AX7 A, B & C?

Thanks

I dont actually know, but Ive always used Bs since thats what Bogner uses and they sound bad ass!

Neither do I, but I've been using Chinese 12ax7a with incredible results. Got them from thetubestore.com

It might be amount of gain on tap. I had some As originally but the Bs definitely produce more preamp gain. Maybe the Cs sound like driving a Ferrari straight into a nuclear reactor.

OK, Reinhold...

It probably is level of gain.

I'm curious as to the accuracy of these gradings. Like, I paid $2 extra for a "high gain" 12AX7A, and didn't like it, cuz it was dark. It was rated at 105. But I DO like all the 12AX7As that I've heard that are around 90-95.

I'm sure whether you get A, or B... they're probably relatively similar. There sure as heck aren't separate factories over there in Shuguang making different batches of tubes.

Wasn't sure if they had different gains levels or if one is brighter than the other. I've always used thetubestore.com as well.
Thanks for the input.
