Is there a boost Pedal with a variable Highpass where you could sweep the (3 db) cutoff frequency?
But i guess if I found the cutoff frequence i like, i will never touch it again, so it might as well be hardwired?

Timmy pedal but this is just a guess. That one is on my radar atm but idk which version to get.

dirty tree and an eq pedal arent variable high pass - both parametric eqs with fixed center frequency.
neither is the timmy - fixed low shelf frequency.

The VFE pedals have a variable high pass - e.g. the standout. Precision drive sorta does - variable in steps and is otherwise a tube screamer.

Thinking the Suhr Koko OG Boost does, but I'd actually have to look. It is in my basement.

Negative. Only mid frequency shifter

I think most boost pedals have a HPF of sorts since the cut out some low end when engaged.
The Xotic BB preamp has a high and low eq knob but I feel like they are more of a shelving eq.

Thanks for the input!

The VFE standout does what i asked for!
The old VFE focus might also be enough.

I have a tone control on my guitar so the additional Lowpass is not really needed but i can live with that.
Maybe i get the files and do it myself. then i can skip the whole mixer and lowpass part.

just want to cut a lil bass, but don't know how much so this seems straight forward.
Don't want to color the mids!

The focus actually has more control because you can set the hpf for a steeper curve and the lpf to roll-off more gradual, or vice versa.
On the standout you set both curves with one toggle, so it's either gradual or steep rolls.
Of course that doesn't matter since you are only needing hpf/low-end control.

The focus or standout is more of a clean-boost with the curves gradual, and more of a mid-boost with them steep.

Anyone try his rocket eq? I think that one had some degree of para-midrange control to go along with the filters and boost.

VFE Dragon.

Send the Folkes at Guptech pedals a shout. They'll probably be able to build you a pedal like that at a decent cost.

I've had them build a custom pedal in the past (Boost, gate, delay) and it was awesome.

Good luck

Well i got the zip files for the VFE focus and this is very doable.
With my background the electrical part is no biggy.
Already found a source for enclosures!

i put some further thought in this and i want this to be a buffer by default. than i can switch the EQ/filtering with a knob and boosting (filter or unfiltered) with a 2nd knob.
i need some logic for this, but i also thought about going midi, so i can change Amp/Effects and this with just one switch, too...

Does anybody know where i can find some documentation for a midi switcher?

What does the pinball do?
I didn‘t get it from the description on the site
Not sure but think it might be like the tone control on a Big Muff or DS-1 ?

Less than 10% use MIDI. I have a few MIDI rigs and have not used them in years. I don't see many people using MIDI rigs. Craig Anderson comes to mind. He might have the info you want.

How come I have absolutely no idea what anyone is talking about in this thread?
