I was running into channel 1 with pretty clean setting when split and slight break up in humbucker mode with high clippers on the clean channel. Klon kicks in at 35+ seconds. A few small mods to the Klon to add some warmth and rounder mids.

Thanks all. These Klones are really great. Been spending lots of time with a bunch of settings.

How much for your CCV amps? That's what I was most impressed with.

Sorry, just an extreme hobby at the moment. As soon as you start making them for money it becomes work and is no longer fun

Sounds good.

I’ve found the Klon Klones add that hair/fuzz to the sound on channel 1 of the CCV...making it sound more like a modded Marshall. As you know the CCV can be smother than the modded Marshall variants.

The older I get and the more clips I hear, I'm convinced. Clean channel with a great pedal equals excellent tone!

I'd like to hear you dig in to the amp a little more before you kick in the pedal.

Fair enough. If the wife and kids get out today, I’ll dig in. The Klon is an interesting beast. Alone with a perfectly clean amp, there’s not a tone of gain. In front of an amp that’s at the verge of breakup or mildy overdriven it pounds the shit out of the front of amp to coax it into some decent gain levels

Really? What pedals are you using? I haven’t found "my" overdrive/distortion yet. Pushing an amp that’s already at break up is a different thing. Love that...

I totally get that. Still a petty as your builds sound amazing!
