Coating cracked on capacitor

Just took delivery of a Blue MXR 6 band eq, when I opened it to replace the battery, I noticed one of the caps had some of the coating cracked off, exposing the metal underneath. Should it be completely replaced or is there a way to seal it back up? I don't have a pic yet, but it looks kinda similar to the image here:

The pedal seems to work ok, it's noisy but I've read these always were. Thanks in advance!
 
I’d crazy glue the piece back on and leave it.
 
MXR uses garbage parts on their pedals. Especially the EQ's. I have a pile of them to fix. But they are cheap to buy broken. Lol. I have had two dead 10 bands and a few bad OD's. Some day I will get around to it. Usually the jacks go first.
