I just got a Columbus today, however, there is no manual.

There is only a version in German on the Diezel site. Has one been translated yet?

No. What do you want to know?

If you have a Herbert, use a XLR cable. Easiest way. Power comes thru the XLR. Starts with "0" - advantage is that you have 10 patches on the first level - I like that.

With a VH4 use a standard 5 pol midi calble. Also phantom powered over it.

From either amp go from the "thru" to your fx.

Thats all :)

I have it set up with the Herbert via XLR then thru to my FX unit. I guess it is really more about programing my FX unit properly.

Does the Columbus transmit on all 16 channels at the same time or can I program each preset button to send only on the channels I want data to be sent on?

Thats a question for Peter me thinks. I'm using it in omni mode.

The Columbus cannot send omni.
It can be adjusted betwenn 16 midi channels.

Thanks. How do I adjust it to send on the specific channels I want it to send on? For instance, I want channel 1 to be for one rack unit and channel 2 to be for another rack unit, etc.
