can anybody please explain me how to connect analogic effect pedals and the Columbus midi footswitch ( or another midi pedalboard ) together, in order to set a preset i need, with one or more effects at time?

i need the schematic as i have not focused how to connect the Columbus and effect pedals together.

e.g. what if i want to use and recall from the Columbus presets like:

1) CH1 clean- with chorus;
2 )CH1 clean- with delay
3) CH1 clean- with flanger and delay
4) CH2 overdrive- with delay
5) CH1 clean- with no effects
6) CH1 clean- with chorus and reverb
7) CH3 dist- with delay
8) CH1 clean -with phaser
9 )CH2 crunch - with octaver
10 ) analogic tuner

thanx

Are you using individual pedals or a multi-effect? If you are using individual pedals I don't know if you can do what you are seeking.... If you have a multi effect unit then that would be a different story.

actually i have a multieffect that i'm going to sell.

by the way i'm talking abut single analogic pedals i'll get.

You will need a loop switcher to control multiple pedals with MIDI, something like a GCX or an Axess GRX-4.

thanx so much ;)

like a Carl Martin Octa-Switch Pedal Switcher too?
after i got one, have I to plug it thru a midi footswitch, correct?

I'm not familiar with that switcher. Yes you will need a MIDI footswitch as well.

I use this unit that is a loop switcher and MIDI footswitch in one: http://www.musicomlab.co.kr/

thanx i'll take a look :)

ps: great solo on Plasma :) do you have a tab of the song?

and now :) just to understand...

what if i get for example the Axess GRX-4 switcher - how have i to connect single analogic effect pedals to each other and to it, then thru a midi footwswitch?

and so; one time the whole connections are ok, how could i create a midi preset chosing which effect(s) must to be On and which one to be Off for that preset?have i to set the efects and channel i need the to press 2 time the same button on the amp, right?

really last request now :P what about the same things above but with the Loopswitcher-midi you own :)

thanx

You'll need to read the manual on whatever gear you get, they all work slightly different but the concepts are the same. You understand the basics so it should be pretty easy to get what you want going! Have fun.

ok.

in few words i must buy 2 things, right?

a looper-switcher ( to combine more effects )

and

a midi footswitch ( to change channels and to set the presets )

am i right?

what about these:

Engl Z15 ( 5 pin midi out )
, engl z12 ( 5 pin midi out ) , BEHRINGER FCB 1010, ROCKTRON MIDI MATE

from this site?

https://www.thomann.de/it/midi_footswitches.html

which one would you suggest me guys for Midi footwitch? the z15 seems it is midi f-switch and a looper too, right?can i combine effect pedals too with it?
are the 5 pin instead of 7 a problem connecting it to the Herbert?

thanx
