Hey everybody!

I´m a proud owner of a VH-4, it´s a monster of an amp and I love it! My old amp (a dual rectifier) doesn´t stand a chance!

I have a questions about the Columbus footswitch. I´m wondering how many saves you can make with the Columbus. Are there banks and how many? Can you switch channels and turn effects (like a g-major) on and off? Controll other midi-pedals like the Whammy 4?

Thanks to everybody in advance and thank you Peter for doing what you do!

Peace!

Columbus has 0-9 presets per bank, and a total of 12 banks so that comes out to 120 presets possible.
You can change channels, and switch devices in the loop(s).

Edit: The manual says 0 - 127, so I guess it's 128. :)

Hey....that sounds really good! :)

How is it working out for you? I was first thinking about getting a rocktron or t-rex midipedal but they are soooo expensive!

Have a good one!

I have a Columbus myself, and so far it has been working flawless!
Recomend it, use it to control my Herbert, and a Rocktron Intellipitch!

It works great with my Herbert. I have a Boss CH-1 in the loop, but I plan on getting a G-Major.

I´m planing on getting a g-major myself that´s why I´m wondering how it´s working out for you guys. I´m tired of having alot of pedals so that you have to do "the pedal dance" just to go from the verse to the chorus! :)

Anyone else using this??

Peace

I think Bierschinken is using his Herbie with a G-Major. Send him a pm if he doesn't post in here.

Herbert + Columbus + G-Major + Intellipitch here + a wireless - thats my live rig (forgot the Vox Wah).

I love it.

Does the Columbus just send MIDI patch change commands so can recall any "patch" on a Diezel (obviously with it's saved channel, mid-cut, loop, volume 2 settings), or does it also send MIDI CC toggle messages though (so you can turn delay on/off, set tap tempo, etc. with a columbus button). I'd be interested in this too.

I have my Behringer FCB1010 set up in most banks with 8 patch change messages, a G-major tap tempo (MIDI CC toggle command) and a G-major delay on/off toggle (another MIDI CC toggle command). If I choose I can also use it to send note commands or other midi commands to my PC (e.g. to start Ableton Live playing, or trigger a sample etc.)

Can you set the buttons on a columbus to send things other than MIDI patch change then (such as toggling between two MIDI CC values, or sending a MIDI note command, etc.)? I haven't heard anything really on what it can/cannot do other than it must be able to send patch change messages.

How does your wah reacts with the wireless. I mean that was the reason I sold mine + I didn't like the sound at all. It was a Samson, the one with the strat jack.

I don't think Columbus sends CC stuff . . .

@ John: no probs here. The wireless makes it sound a bit more trebly (just a little bit though). But I can live with that . . .
