Hi Guys,
There is a T/D module online for sale that i am thinking of buying. I have the DLX which is supposed to be the "B" channel of the T/D.
My questions is then, can someone compare the "A" channel of the T/D to the "A" channel of the DLX?
I am quite happy with the "A" channel of my DLX, however, if the T/D has a more "sparkling" or "brilliant" clean then i would consider buying it. If it is much of the same then i will just hold on to the DLX--i am actually GASSING for a EG5.

Thanks

I wonder if some sort of treble boost to add more high end in there may work for you as well? I only have the dlx too, so can't help you with the comparison, but if you are looking for more sparkle and are okay with it not being squeaky clean, you may want to give the vx a chance too.

I have both. You're right about the T/D's "T" side - it is more sparkly and less honky in the midrange. With the mids set below 10:00 it has a nice "bounce." The best thing about the T/D is the "D" side has more gain - compression really - then the DLX module. The DLX module can't be pushed that hard unless you boost it. And you can't really get that glassy clean without some midrange in it. It's a Deluxe - they had that honky midrange and didn't distort unless you cranked it.

That said - I use the T/D more because I can get the clean I want, and use the "D" side for a boosted lead or country spank. More versatile.

Only thing I hate is mine hums on the A channel unless I put the gain at 3/4! Below that it hums. Strange. I've tried different guitars, different placement, turned off the lights, and it still does it. Jeff even sent me another one - still does it. Maybe it's my house! None of my other modules do this.
