Hello
I'm a little confused. I have used my Herbert for silent recordings (with a cab connected ). The signal was very silent, so that I had to amplify the signal via my recording preamp. But I was not very happy with this. So I turned up the Master Volume of my Herbert and the signal which came to the recording interface was higher.
In the german manual is written: Will man „lautlos“ abnehmen, genügt ein Zudrehen der Masterregler 1 und 2. Bitte unbedingt vergewissern, dass dies der Fall ist !!!
Why is it so important that the master volume is turned off. Or refers this sentence only to silent recording? How does the mastervolume affect the quality of the compensated out?
