Crackling noises = bad tubes?

Hi! My Einstein head started to make some ugly noises, even when the guitarcable is unplugged. It does not matter wich channel the amp is on. It's a noisy crackling sound, almost like white noise with some attack, if you know what I mean. It's not so loud in volume, but you can definatly hear it. After what I've read, this is (almost) always caused by aged/bad tubes, right?

So, what tubes should I change? Preamp or poweramp tubes? From what I've read, the preamp tubes last much longer than
the poweramp tubes, so I guess I should change the poweramp tubes?

Thanks

change the v1 preamp tube, or better call peter first oder write him a mail.
ive had this problem too, changed the tube today and the beast sounds awesome again and no noises left.
