Crazy....?

Just played my Herbert through a Friedman 412 with two V30s (bottom row) and two Gbacks (top row) and was absolutely blown away. Super tight and had a real liquidy, creamy tone. Since I've never seen someone write about Gbacks with a Herbie thought I must be crazy. Anyone ever played their Herbert through gbacks?

My first cab played with Herbert was a Marshall 1960 AX with a x pattern v30's and greenies.
Sounded great.

I play a Hagen through a Splawn 2x12 loaded with smallblocks, which are Greenback clones with more power capability. The sound is awesome,it handles the low end great. I was impressed. I still plan to get a Diezel FL cab with K100's though, but happy with this for now.

I agree though, these are not spoken about much, but are great. I think it's the limited power handling that keeps them at bay. But these smallblocks are 55w each, so only 5w removed from a V30. I can't help but wonder how they compare to the K100's in a FL cab, will find out one day.
