Congrats! Found this under the tree? Now that's a Christmas morning!

4 days ago. Had been watching the used markets for a couple months.
I wanted a head (which are not as common) and just the 60 watt version
(even less common). Found this one which was listed all wrong by someone
who didn't really know the amp. His initial price was too high but I helped
him fix up his listing and told him what to highlight in additional pics.
A week later he comes back and says "make me an offer". I went a bit low
and expecting him to come back in the middle but he took the first offer!

Happy happy joy joy!

Congrats I used to have a short head version of this , 60 with Simul class and the R2 mod. A total beast of an amp

Killer amp. I had a 60 watt blue stripe long head graphic without reverb a few years ago. It was pretty killer and my only Mark series amp. So at least I can cross a Mark off my list too.

I don't believe 60 watters can be simulclass, they need to have the extra outer pair of tubes to be simulclass.

you're correct (it's been a while) I incorrectly assumed because I had a short head it was 60.
my old one (never should've sold it :( )

Congrats! I miss my 60 watt red stripe. Picked up a Studio Preamp recently to get in the same ballpark.

If you're planning on keeping it around, you might want to consider sending it in to Boogie for a service. I got mine tuned up in 2017 and it came back with about 23 components replaced. These amps are getting pretty old! They'll also do the R2 and reverb glitch mods if you request them.

I already did the R2 mod and replaced the large caps. Wasn't aware of a reverb glitch. Mine seems to be working OK.
Am I missing something?

Hope you can help with this. From what I've read, the first '+' means the R2 volume mod,
but I've never found what the second '+' is.

Help???? Thanks.
The R2 mod is a different mod. The + mod tames the highs, and smooths the lead channel out a bit, making it more C+ like, and is always on by default. The ++ mod acts as a boost, and gives the amp a little more grease and saturation, and is activated by pulling the mid knob. I highly recommend them both. This is a good read...https://www.rig-talk.com/forum/threads/mesa-mark-iii-to-iii-mod.195187/

I believe the reverb glitch is a bleed (background distortion) on the clean channel when using reverb. Won't necessarily happen all the time. The fix is a 120k resistor from the red wire of the reverb transformer to ground. If there's an "R" on the back panel by the power cable then this is already done.

That's a great catch!"red stripes are one of the best mesas ever. I have a red coli and a blue coli.all with r2 and verb mods. The reds are a nice open raw amp tone.

Meant to post this a few weeks back. I replaced the original caps with new ones from Mesa.
Rather than having to heat up the PCB pads to fully remove the originals, I left part of the
leads and soldered to them. Didn't really notice any audible difference but it was worth
doing it for the piece of mind. (y)

Also cut down the super long power cord and added a heavy duty AC plug on it.
