This is from the builder himself :

It has a TON more clarity than a typical "TS" circuit. Clarity is the reason I built the Screamer is the first place, to get a similar sound to the TS, but with more gain and clarity. Not all TS "clones" are built alike....

The V2 also has a Toggle to select what type of clipping diodes it has, including the original type from the V1. I highly suggest the V2 for the added clipping options. There may be a few V1s left floating around, but most dealers are out of it.
