This is a Fender Jazzmaster style guitar that I built about five years ago, and totally spec'd out. The jazzmaster is my favorite shape, but I hate the way they sound, so I decided to build it as the Anti-Jazzmaster! It looks like a surf guitar but is a rock machine. I chose darker tone woods, full-body humbucker pickups, and upgraded the hardware to improve depth and sustain.
It was my main guitar for several years, but hasn't gotten much use recently, so I'm putting it up for sale for $1200 shipped. Here is the full spec rundown:
-Warmoth Black Korina Body, walnut stain, nitro gloss
-Musikraft Mahogany neck, thin D profile
-Rosewood fretboard, clay dots
-Fender USA Tremolo (currently locked, but easily re-adjusted)
-Buzzstop (improves down-angle over bridge, improves sustain, reduces sympathetic harmonics behind bridge)
-Mastery Bridge (the best thing to ever happen to offset guitars)
-Curtis Novak Wide-Range Humbuckers
-No rhythm circuit, selector switch moved to upper bout
-Tusq Nut
-Sperzel Locking Tuners
It definitely shows that it's been played - I tried to highlight some of the finish cracks and marks on the body and neck, but it's in incredible playing condition. The musikraft Thin D profile is almost Wizard-like in how thin and comfortable it is, and the Novaks are still my favorite pickups ever. I've put probably $2,000 into this build over the years.
I'm happy to answer any additional questions or share additional pictures on request.
