Have an amp in transit from Canada to the states but appears to be held up at customs. Wondering if any of you have encountered this and if so if it’s totally normal or I need to reach out to the shipper to do something?
If they didn't fill out the paperwork online correctly or listed it incorrectly, it can delay it. However, with the current situation, it could just be a regular delay that we have all come to expect. Hope it gets to you soon.
They’ll reach out to your email you put on file with the customs paperwork and you’ll be told how much to pay in customs/import taxes to clear it if needed. You have to ship it as a gift to/from the canuks to avoid that part, at least you used to be able to from my memory.
Which physical location is it stuck at? Last two international orders I've had were delayed for around a month at the USPS Customs Location in Chicago Illinois (if I remember correctly). They never contacted me or did anything, after a month the package started moving again.
I just got 2 guitars from Canada, they were held up in customs, the manufacture did not fill out all the paperwork I guess, then I got hit with a 156 $ import fee. It sucks
