Hey

I have a DMoll set to arrive this week....I'm totally stoked, I never owned one before, only played a Herbert for like 10 minutes as well as some KPA profiles...Did the foot switch ever come out? Thanks in advance

Most midi foot switches will work simply with the Midi-controlled Diezels. The 'Diezel Columbus' is Diezel's own product.

You can pick up a Behringer FCB1010 pretty cheap off the net. I ran one live with a VH4 for a few years with no problems. There are some more compact, metal chassis foot controllers on the market though. RJM, Voodoo Labs, Engl, Boss, Rocktron etc.

Thanks for the reply
I have aFCB1010, but it is setup with the unoKemper chip- I'm guessing it would suck to keep changing the programming depending on what I'm using.
I'd love tsomething traditional like the Diezel HE switch, I guess I may have to go Thommann

The FS7 is a good, basic foot switch for the D-Moll. If you want some MIDI capabilities, the Diezel Columbus is great too. I would also check out the Voodoo Labs Ground Control Pro. Great pedal and a lot cheaper than the Columbus. Another great foot switch you should look into is the One Control Crocodile Tail Loop. It's got some great features and is fully MIDI capable but costs a few dollars more than the Columbus. There's a lot of great foot switches out there that compliment any Diezel with MIDI very well. It just depends on what you need and what your looking for. I went with the One Control foot controller for my D-Moll because I liked the features it had and it was exactly what I was looking for compared to the Columbus or Ground Control Pro. I hope this helps you out and Good Luck...

I bought a used Rolls Midibuddy off eBay, cheap and works great

I use the Diesel HE footswitch, cause I don't have too many different sounds when I play. I have way enough with direct switching of 3 channels, 2 FX loops and the beloved mid-cut. I am totally satisfied with it.
But if you need more, for sure you should look at MIDI.

I got the FS7 from Thomann and it works great.

I have a Behringer FCB set up with a chip to work with my Kemper
The bottom row of 5 is typical midi patches, the top row are virtual pedals that turn the Kemper pedals on & off
I tried it with DMoll today and was thrilled to see how it easy it is to program the Diezel!
The bottom row of 5 would only work, too bad I couldn't get the top row to control on/off features (mid cut, Master 2, loop)

Still debating on grabbing something specific to D-Moll, but at least I know I can program a set of 5 for basic operations
Can I assume no power cord is needed? I need to avoid that at all costs, I think the Diezel one looks to be powered through the midi (?)

Cranky: the Diezel FS7 is a very simple footswitch and is hooked up via the special FS7 quarter-inch TS(!!!)-jack on the back of the dmoll and is powered that way; no midi, no additional powersupply. Works great and you get to control the amp's functions directly.
