D-Moll loop not switching?

Hello friends,

I was spending time to integrate my newly received DMoll into my rig, when I noticed that I cannot switch the loop on and off via the panel switch.

I striped everything down to a guitar straight in and a simple pedal in the loops. I flick the panel switch and there is no change. The same behavior is exhibited for both loops, serial and parallel: they remain operational and I can hear the effect of the pedal irrespective of the panel switch state and led.

This is strange as I can surely hear the internal relay engaging when I flick the panel loop switch and the led comes on!..

Any thoughts? I received no manual with the unit, so I consulted the Herbert's without any luck.
Am I doing something wrong or is it a fault?..

I check the loops on every single amp.
Plug a cable into the serial return and
check if the preamp is disconnected.

Best,
Peter

Hello Peter, I sincerely appreciate your personal attention.

Yes, the preamp is disconnected when I insert a plug into the serial return.
However with the plug inserted flipping the loop switch does not bring the preamp back on.

EDIT: I am sure the amp was thoroughly checked at your quality control stage.

I was sent the unit that Thomann used for its photo shoot, our serials match. If a fault developed, something may have gone wrong there or during transport.

I hold a degree in Electronic Engineering if you think it would be beneficial I could have a peek inside. Anything you could suggest I could try, would be of great value to me.

If not, please advise, I am trying to ascertain whether I should return the unit for replacement, as foreseen by Thomann policy.

Please send back the amp to Thomann and tell
me the serial number. I will take care asap.

Sorry,
Peter

Ok, will do so asap.
My serial is 006/008, as shown below.

Let me thank you again for your assistance. From the little I had my hands on the amp, it is a jewel and I will have a hard time parting with it. Your personal involvement, reaffirms my choice and is invaluable to my customer experience in feeling welcomed as part of your great Diezel family.
All my best,
Adrian
