I'm having a fabulous honeymoon with my recent acquisition, the mighty D-moll. I really dig this amp.

I was wondering if it can handle any other tubes like 6550 or KT88. Obviously it can run anything from EL34 family but curious about other power tubes. Can I mix and match like the Herbert in pairs?

Also, does anyone know what preamp positions affect what? As in v1 is ch1 and v2 is ch2 and so forth.

Thanks for the help guys. Happy to be back in the Diezel family.

Where's the Diezel love? You guys still sleeping? :D

Will pics help?

You can download pdf manuals from the Diezel site, that might help some.

What ya think of this one compared to the Herbert?

I didn't see mention of the pre amp positions and what they do. I did find out about the power amp tubes so that's cool.

As far as this vs Herbert goes I feel the D-Moll is a little more open and maybe not as compressed? It's still plenty pissed off just in different areas. I will try and do a clip or two with it. Clean channel kicks ass just like the Herbert. Ch 2 and 3 are fire breathers. Freakin awesome. Love the midi and mute functions. The mid cut is not really needed imo but fun to mess with at times. Diezel has a clear winner with this amp.

I'm Really enjoying the amp. I did switch to Gold Lion KT77's and prefer them over the JJ's. To each there own though.

Hagen is on my radar next.

Can't wait to come and try it out, Tom!

Wish I could help you out with the preamp tube positions :/

That a Peters Hydra? They're gnarly.

Peters Hydra/Halo
Peters Chimera/FSM
Peters Gryphon/Vega

Thanks for noticing!
They are great amps.

Didn't figure the manual would help with the preamp, but was hoping on the power.

PM Papa if he don't see this after awhile, he's probably still busy with the namm widedown.

For your power tube question, it does bias in pairs (inners and outers). Although, I don't know if it has the range in it for 6550's or 88's, but I seriously doubt it.
