How do you guys get the volume level to stay even when an effect is chosen on the Glass Nexus? I really like this unit and the Timeline, which seems to balance the level with the dry signal just fine...when I switch on an effect with the GN, the volume drops down significantly. I saw that there a midi options that can take a volume parameter...is this how to balance the output volumes?

I have the Timeline & Glass Nexus, I just got them last week..
I am not having that problem with mine it was one of the first things I checked out playing with them..
Even when I switch to different types of modulations on the Nexus with the Encoder knob the volume stays the same between the effects..
Between that and the transparency of those things that is what has been amazing me...

The only thing I have noticed with the Nexus is the Reverb Mix/Adjust knobs sometimes has a delay in the processing where it might take a second longer to hear my change in adjustment..
So I learned to just turn them slowly play a little bit then readjust..

Try contacting Pete at DamageControl he has been helpful with questions for me and always replies within 24hrs...

Do you have it in the FX loop of an amp or the input? I had no issues using the input.

Have you actually checked the volume levels on your effects loop??

I have messed with both units in front and in the loop with no such problem...

I run mine thru the serial loop on my Vh4 and I have not noticed any volume drop at all.
I dig that pedal a lot!

I really dislike how certain effects sound in an effects loop. Chorus, Flanger, and Phaser especially just sound crappy in a loop, IMHO. I always used the Nexus into the input of an amp, of course then the verb and delay won't sound great if your amp is generating the gain.

Into the input i never had any volume drops, but in a loop i imagine you would havw to adjust the levels of the loop itself.

I use delay more than any other effect and it sounded like ass in the front of my amy so I opted for the serial loop. I do use a touch of chorus and some phaser too but the I would rather have the delays/verb sounding right since I am using all amp gain and no pedals..
That said I use a flanger for the beginning of one song and it sounds pretty killer in the serial loop. Who knows?

Well it works with the serial loop, but I can't get it to work in parallel.

I'm using my Timeline in a Parallel loop of my Fortin Cali mod. I have send and return levels for my loop. I have the send level almost all the way up, and return is up about 75%.

I like the Timeline more than the Timefactor. I spent a while playing with the Timefactor before deciding that the Timeline was the winner for me.

As for the Nexus, i decided i like using individual effects instead. Gotta have the Boss Flanger for that Tekro punch.

Looking back I probably would have been just as happy with the Nexus as I had to read from front to back the entire manual for the modfactor to do what little I wanted it to do. It is not a plug and play pedal
