It's the SLO preamp circuit from Rob Robinette's site, running thru the passive loop I put in my JCM-800.

No RAT.

I used a Neve 1073 EQ plugin in post-production to pull out some 700Hz and add a little 12kHz top end

Sounds good, but get those voltages inline and it should be great! The leads are sweet on a SLO

BTW I think the voltage double you did is putting you at the same voltage level you would get with a full bridge rectifier. You just saved two diodes.

Now if you have a center tap you can really get some voltage.
