I guess the Line6 stuff is out

Since there's the Zakk, Slash, and Kerry King Marshalls...you'd probably expect a DM Marshall.

As quoted from the megadeth website...
And the gear switch that I went back to was incredible! And although I dont officially play Line 6 gear and never did, they did make me some incredible personal amps for recording with, and I used them on tour for quite a while, but I want the reliability and the consistency that I have always had with my Marshalls; that is why you saw me with my mighty, trusted Marshall custom cabinets I modified for myself for yourself on the Tour of Duty small venue/club underplay tour.

I am super stoked to be working with Nick Bowcott at Marshall again and especially the non-business things and chats we have. There is a lot of great things happening to/for me because of Nick B. and I thank you my friend. We are also on a strange journey together that I will keep secret until you see it first, but suffice it to say that Nick helped me get my first instructional column for a guitar magazine. And there is going to be a DVD video feature along with it and I am playing the new JVM Marshall amplifier, so listen close to this new amp in the lesson, too!

I saw that yesterday as well. I have really gotten way into my JVM as of late. I almost sold it a couple weeks ago and am really glad that I didn't. I always enjoyed Mustaine's tone, even on the new record. I do hope he stops using the Prophesy though. Saw them a couple years ago and he was using that and the tone was terrible. I was shocked since I liked his tone 99% of the time in the past. I'd love to see how is using the JVM.

Oy.

Mustaine should just give up already.

I really dig their newest cd. After Risk they lost me, but this one has me back.

+1. The last couple records (TSHF, UA) are killer IMO. Mustaine's playing is as good on UA as any other record and Drover is definitely no slouch. I wanted nothing to do with Megadeth after Cryptic Writings (which had a couple decent tunes on it) but being a longtime fan I gave TSHF a shot and voila! I was a fan again. UA is even better...

i hated the line6 crap when i saw them on tour with heaven and hell.

I like the last album but it's a pity he didn't switch to Marshall before recording it.

Easily the best rig.

That's kind of funny because I saw a video of him either last Summer or the Summer before talking/hyping up his Line 6 rig. Then further on in the video he was mentioning how he wasn't formally taught and admitted that some of his technique is actually bad habit and now he has an instructional column

I must admit I don't really like his leads. I don't know if it's because he's a very aggressive and percussive and seems to repeat the same thing or if it's just that he's had some MONSTER players that are so smooth playing next to him every night. Probably the latter.

Of course, his rhythm stuff is tremendous and is up there in my book with the best of them and I think he's very underrated as a songwriter.

This last cd is great and i'm glad they made a comeback.

I would have liked to hear what the new album sounded like recorded with Marshall
