That looks killer; i may be in the market for a bass. Anyway gripes or high points?

Was absolutely blown away when it arrived. Have no gripes, tbh and was well setup.
No one would be the wiser if it had a US serial decal instead of MIM, imo.
Not shilling.

Believe they sell these at GC if you want to check one out in person.
The seller I linked posts new in box as "mint".
Got mine for $399 from them and have seen those 4 string versions on sale from them at the same price (and they have make offer).
There is no gamble at that price. Not a fan of the tuner buttons look is about all I can come up with.
Obviously, ymmv, but not by much if it does.

I'm looking to add a Bass to my " Pedal testing " arsenal .... I have an old Washburn that I like ..... but it's pretty old ....

so figured it was time .... I would like to stay American made .... and would rather buy used ...

I haven't shopped at all yet ....... no idea what's available in that price range ....
Should easily be able to find an American Fender for that price. Hard to go wrong with a Jazz or P or PJ.
I have two mexi Fenders I really like. A Jazz deluxe (active electronics and EQ) and a P bass deluxe (active electronics, JP config and a Jazz bass neck).

I want a Carl Thompson .........................

I like traditional stuff .... I'll most likely end up with a Precision / jazz combo of sorts ..... that I'll upgrade the pickups on
Sounds like a good plan. Can't go wrong there.

You can get all sorts of used American made precision/performer that P bass/Jazz combo for 1k-1500 all day.

Hell, a sweet blue one w a maple neck popped right up for $950.

Best of luck, love my basses! Nothing like being on bass w a great drummer.

I like to pretend I'm Les Claypool for 10 minutes or so myself ....

Thanks for the review! may just give the make offer a shot.

They're pretty versatile, too between the P/J and blend/3-way EQ. Mine has Dimarzio pickups, not sure if it's the same on the four string.
A cool feature is that you can bypass the active EQ with push/pull if the battery dies during a gig or you just want a warmer, less punchy sound.
Would def throw that offer out there if you're in the market. Would have the white one, but literally flooding in instruments rn.

they don't have it in purple though ?

Could probably tint some clear and spray the black or the white one.
The white one is pearl and does kinda give off those purple hues on certain angles.
Besides, already have a purple thunderbird, but it's NC-17. :ROFLMAO:

Show Wayne a pic of that big ole thing…he will love it…and the bass too…
